Susan Givens

Born in Michigan, Susan moved to Durango after 30+ years in Denver. She has been a licensed Realtor since 1999 and joined the Coldwell Banker Company in 2005. She and her husband Jeff have always enjoyed camping, hiking and just contemplating the scenic beauty of Colorado!

Susan is a member of the Durango Area Association of Realtors, the Colorado Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Her commitment to her profession is evident in her work both in and out of the Real Estate community. Her service on her Denver Board Standards Committee allowed her unique access to the concerns of the community and ensured the highest standards of ethical behavior by Realtors. Fund-Raising for Habitat for Humanity and then helping build three of the homes made possible by those efforts was also a great experience. She hopes to be active with Habitat for Humanity here and is always looking for more ways to give back!

Susan has always been a full time Realtor and enjoys helping both Buyers and Sellers. She has gone through additional training to be a certified Coldwell Banker Relocation Specialist. She truly understands that Buyers, especially those new to the Durango area, can take a lot of time and education before they commit to purchasing. And her straightforward professional attitude assures Sellers of top-notch service in staging, marketing exposure, contracts, and negotiations. Whoever she is helping, Susan always keeps her clients’ best interests at heart.

But if you think she’s no fun, guess again! Before her Real Estate career, Susan received a Business degree in Hospitality Administration and held various management positions with the Hyatt Corporation. Before that, she spent over ten years as a singer/songwriter in a band called Blackhawk—they even played at Farquahrt’s back in the day. So you will always get service with a smile :)
